When Zendaya set out challenger During her press tour earlier this year (April to be exact), she captured the collective fashion consciousness with her commitment to method dressing in tennis ensembles. A perfect example of how fashion and sport can go hand in hand, it wasn’t long before soccer jerseys dominated as a fashion trend for girls and rugby shirts are now emerging as a cross-season style hero in preparation for fall.

Before we say goodbye to this year’s summer of sport – we mean the European Championships, the Olympics and the Paralympics – and with it our Sporty Spice era, the US Open is currently underway, with Naomi Osaka continuing Zendaya’s legacy right where the actress left off. The tennis pro took to the court yesterday (August 29) to play against Jelena Ostapenko, marking her return to the tournament since giving birth to her daughter Shai last July. Aside from her iconic win, it was Naomi’s outfit that really caught our attention.

Naomi wore a custom Ambush x Nike creation, consisting of a white zip-up sports jacket embellished with an oversized lime green bow on the back and a lime green tutu with a tulle underlay, adding a sporty touch to the flirty aesthetic. But the look was far from over: She stripped off her workout clothes to reveal a lime green ruffle minidress that featured a white waistband with another oversized bow on the back. More bow details were seen on the heels of her white and green Nike sneakers. Oh, and she also accessorized her headphones, adding a white ruffle headband with green satin bows above the strap.

Not content to just follow a trend, Naomi opted for a Brat green color palette that didn’t displease viewers. The slime tone was the color of her visor *and* her sweatbands. After the match, her followers shared photos on Instagram and pounced on Naomi’s post to write:
