According to investigators, the incident occurred shortly before 9 a.m. on Monday, August 26, in the parking lot of the Wells Fargo Bank in the 7300 block of Bustleton Avenue.

Gladys Sylvane, a witness, told NBC10 that her friend, a 61-year-old woman, was driving in the parking lot when she collided with another woman’s car. According to Sylvane, the two women then began arguing.

Sylvane said a man – who police later identified as Kling – then got out of the vehicle and pointed a gun at her friend’s stomach.

“And she said, ‘Did you hit my car?’ She said, ‘No.’ And she said, ‘Okay, if I hit it, what are you going to do?’ The husband came in from the Wells Fargo and said, ‘Touch her.’ And she said, ‘If I touch her, what are you going to do?’ And she put the gun right on [my friend’s] stomach. And he said, ‘I’m going to do that.’ Bang,” Sylvane told NBC10.

Sylvane said the man opened fire, shooting her friend in the thigh before fleeing the scene with the other woman in a Kia Sorento.

Sylvane’s friend was taken to the hospital and her condition stabilized. Sylvane said her friend’s two children, who she was driving to school at the time, were both in the car and witnessed the shooting.
