As someone who likes to connect with the roots of Mexican culture, visiting the National Museum of Mexican Art is always on my list. The free museum in the heart of Pilsen honors the Mexican community with a series of art exhibits that beautifully capture the richness, diversity, and history of Mexican and Mexican-American culture. A visit to the museum is a perfect way to deepen our understanding of our shared history this Mexican Independence Day.
