Fans of true crime stories can look forward to a very special new documentary from National Geographic on Wednesday, August 28th, because Killer Lies: On the hunt for a true criminal con artist is a new documentary series about true crime itself.

This new three-part TV series follows a Frenchman named Stéphane Bourgoin, a serial killer expert with a tragic past and a drive to expose mass murderers. That’s how he presented himself, at least, but the truth could be very, very different.
