Once again Discover Lansdale hosted a birthday party for the town and once again the crowds came out to experience history, music, food, beer, art and fireworks.

At the Founders Day 2024 event, the district was celebrated with all the pomp and splendor worthy of a historic city.

The early morning started with a boot camp from Carlee Myers Personal Training and a yoga session from Dawn Coe Meyer of Rising Suns Yoga.

Afterwards, Discover Lansdale presented this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award to Anne Henning-Scheuring, followed by an open house and history tour at the Jenkins Homestead.

In addition to collaborations with Lansdale’s creative community, the Greater Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce hosted a health fair at Railroad Plaza.

Century Plaza featured live music from artists such as Mike Guldin, Rollim’ & Tumblin’ and Philly Funk Authority, a beer garden and entertainment for the whole family. The Eclipse Center for Creative Community featured mural painting opportunities for artists young and old.

At the Freight House there was a touch-a-truck event with painted hands and an exhibition of emergency and police vehicles.

The Fairmount Fire Co. presented a model railroad exhibit and the Lansdale Police Department offered tours of their station.

The evening was capped off with a grand fireworks display at 9 p.m., set off from Weaver Field in Memorial Park.
