Davide Frattesi is pushing to start ahead of Henrikh Mkhitaryan for Inter Milan in Friday’s Serie A match against Atalanta.

However, Frattesi is not satisfied with just influencing the games from the bench.

The 24-year-old would like to get the chance to play from the start.

For Frattesi, however, this opportunity should not be long in coming. Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is ready to give the midfielder a starting place sooner rather than later.

And the Corriere notes that this is not just Inzaghi’s attempt to appease the player.

The coach believes that Frattesi is really ready to go after spending a year fitting into the team.

Inter hosts Atalanta in the last game before the international break.

Nerazzurri coach Inzaghi is thinking about his team line-up. The coach is unlikely to make radical changes, but he will probably refresh the team in some areas, as he did between the first two games.

And the Corriere reports that Frattesi would be a hot candidate in this regard.

Experienced midfielder Mkhitaryan has started both of Inter’s games this season, playing the full 90 minutes against Lecce.

Against Atalanta, however, Inzaghi could opt for the more dynamic Frattesi.

The former Sassuolo midfielder has a real chance of starting against La Dea.
