Release window for nuclear case and current news

Instead of a completely different reality, the action takes place in the north of England after the Windscale fire of 1957. The use of a real nuclear disaster is a bold move and, in our opinion, all the more interesting.

However, it does not correspond entirely to the facts and offers a certain artistic freedom.

Curious? Let’s take a look at the release date and the latest news about Atomfall.

When is the release date of Atomfall? Release window

During Gamescom last week we learned a lot more about Atomfall.

In addition to a new trailer, we learned that Atomfall will be released sometime in March 2025.

As soon as we know the exact date, we will update this page.

Can I pre-order Atomfall?

While it’s not currently available for pre-order, you can add Atomfall to your Steam wishlist here.

As soon as a pre-order is possible, we will let you know!

On which consoles and platforms can Atomfall be played?

At Gamescom it was announced that Atomfall will be released on Xbox S/X, Xbox One and PC.

So no release for Sony or Nintendo, but at least Xbox One owners are taken care of.

Details about the gameplay and story of Atomfall

As I said, Atomfall takes place after the Windscale fire of 1957.. This was a huge nuclear disaster at a nuclear power station in Cumbria. The game imagines a far worse outcome than what actually happened and is set five years after the event.

Britain is affected by radioactive fallout and the player must survive in the (very British) wasteland full of cults, renegade organizations and (in keeping with atompunk tradition) robots.

The official Steam page states the following:

“Through exploration, entertainment, investigation and combat, unravel a web of interwoven stories where every choice you make has consequences.”

That sounds good.

Is there a nuclear fall trailer?

There is actually a trailer! Check out what came out at Gamescom last week below:
