Conway man killed in NLR crash on Sunday, investigation ongoing

A 63-year-old Conway man was killed in a traffic accident in North Little Rock on Sunday afternoon. North Little Rock Police Department announced this on Tuesday.

James Burgess was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident in the area of ​​10000 Crystal Hill Rd., near De Wafelbakkers, a food manufacturing company.

The driver of the other vehicle, 31 years old Hayley Strozykwas taken to a local hospital for treatment.

North Little Rock police officers arrived at the scene of the accident around 5:14 p.m. and later determined that Strozyk was at fault. According to a police news release, “Strozyk failed to negotiate a turn, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and strike the parked vehicle of James Burgess.”

North Little Rock police are investigating the accident and will consult with the Pulaski County District Attorney’s Office “to determine what criminal charges will be filed in this case,” the news release said.
