New Netflix series and films coming in 2025

We’re halfway through 2024, and while there’s still a lot to look forward to this year, there’s already a lot planned for 2025. Here’s our latest preview of titles currently confirmed for worldwide release on Netflix in 2025.

Please note that this list is a work in progress and will change drastically in the coming months and years. It only includes everything specifically dated by Netflix for 2025.

Be sure to bookmark this post as we are constantly updating it. All titles marked with “wt” are working and subject to change.


WWE is coming to Netflix in 2025

Let’s start with the major new live events that will be hitting Netflix in the form of WWE. Announced by Netflix and TKO in January 2024 (you can read our report here), WWE is coming to the streamer worldwide and live, but will differ slightly depending on where you live.

Raw will be available on Netflix in the US, Canada, the UK and Latin America starting in January, with additional regions to follow. Other WWE titles, including SmackDown and NXT, will also be available on Netflix outside of the US.


Confirmed movies coming to Netflix in 2025

  • Bank of Dave 2: The Credit Ranger – Rumor has it that this British sequel will be released in January 2025. It is about a small-town bank owner who hunts down fraudsters.
  • Brick (weight) – German thriller with Matthias Schweighöfer and Ruby O. Fee.
  • Fear Street: Prom Queen – A new horror coming-of-age entry following the trilogy coming to Netflix in 2022.
  • Frankenstein – Horror science fiction directed by Guillermo del Toro, shot in 2024.
  • In your dreams – Animated film directed by Alex Woo and Erik Benson.
  • K-Pop: Demon Hunter – Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans direct this new animated film about a popular K-pop girl group that also performs as demon slayers.
  • Somehow pregnant – Romantic comedy with Amy Schumer.
  • Little Siberia – Finnish film about a small town hit by a priceless meteorite. Directed by Dome Karukoski.
  • Plankton – The Movie – A new SpongeBob SquarePants animated movie.
  • Pookoo – Buddy comedy animated film from Skydance Animation directed by Nathan Greno.
  • The electric state – Rumor has it that this new big-budget sci-fi film will be released in March and will star Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt.
  • The right way – Norwegian comedy.
  • The Swedish connection – Swedish film about the Second World War and a bureaucrat in the Swedish Foreign Ministry. With Henrik Dorsin, Sissela Benn and Jonas Karlsson.

  • The Twits – An animated film directed by Phil Johnston based on the fairy tale by Roald Dahl.
  • Dutch Bobby Boermans film without title – Thriller about a tense hostage situation in the heart of Amsterdam. With Soufiane Moussouli, Marcel Hensema and Loes Haverkort.
  • Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Crime Mystery – The Third Knives out The film features the return of Daniel Craig and a number of other big stars.
  • Wallace & Gromit – The Wild Revenge – After 20 years, Wallace & Gromit returns with another feature film!

New series confirmed for 2025

  • youth – British series by the award-winning trio Stephen Graham, Philip Barantini and Jack Thorne. It is a real-time crime series shot in one-shot style.
  • Amsterdam Empire – Crime series starring Famke Janssen, set in the heart of the cannabis scene.
  • Astérix & Obelix: Le Combat Des Chefs – New French animated series based on the popular comic.
  • Bear hunting (wt) – Reality series with Bear Grylls chasing celebrities.
  • Black Rabbit – Miniseries starring Jason Bateman and Jude Law.
  • Caught – Harlen Coben adaptation miniseries from showrunner Miguel Cohan.
  • Diary of an abandoned girl (wt) – Swedish adaptation of the novel by Amanda Romare with Carla Sehn in the leading role.
  • F1 Academy – New documentary series about the new F1 league.
  • Glass heart – Japanese live-action series adapting the novel by Wakagi Mio.
  • Hewelius – Polish disaster drama series about the story of the ferry Jan Heweliusz, which sank on January 14, 1993 during a violent storm in the Baltic Sea.
  • Jentry Chau against the underworld – Coming out this winter, this animated series is about a Chinese-American teenager living in a small town who discovers that a demon king is hunting her.
  • The Dead – Limited series by Luis Estrada that tells the story of the famous pimp sisters María del Jesús and Delfina González Valenzuela, also known as the Poquianchis.
  • Leviathan – Anime series based on the novel by Scott Westerfeld.
  • Long story short – A new animated series from the creator of Bojack Horseman.

  • Motel Transylvania – A new animated series in which Drac and Mavis take a break from their Transylvanian haunts to open a brand new resort for humans and monsters in the California desert.
  • Our water world – Nature documentary series from the team behind Blue Planet II.
  • Pookoo – This animated film from Skydance Animation is described as a buddy comedy.
  • Project UFO – Polish drama about an alleged UFO landing in Warmia.

  • Running point – Mindy Kaling comedy series.
  • SAKAMOTO DAYS – This is a new anime series based on a very popular manga and starts on January 4th.
  • Shirin David – Reality/documentary series about the German rapper.
  • Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark – Dating reality series from Great Britain.
  • The districts – New science fiction series from the executive producers of Stranger Things.
  • The choice – British series with Suranne Jones and Julie Delpy in a new political thriller series.
  • The Eternaut – Argentine science fiction series.
  • The glass dome – Crime series from Sweden.

  • The Gringo Hunters – Scripted crime series based on a real elite unit of the Mexican police. The crime series stars Harold Torres, Mayra Hermosillo, Manuel Masalva and Andrew Leland Rogers.
  • The pull – British crime drama with Jamie Dornan and Mackenzie Davis.
  • The witness – British crime series in production with STV Studios.
  • Untitled MLB Red Sox documentary series
  • Untitled comedy series by Tom Segura – Six-part black comedy series.
  • WolfKing – New animated series from director Tom Brass based on the Wereworld books by Curtis Jobling.
