Election results for Tulsa Mayor, City Council and County Commissioner

Tuesday was election day across Oklahoma, and voters in 53 counties across the state went to the polls to cast their ballots in a special election.

Major election issues included the election of Tulsa Mayor, the election of Tulsa County Commissioner for the 2nd District (both Democrat and Republican), and the Tulsa City Council election, among others.

Mayor of Tulsa

Tulsa County Commissioner, District 2 – The

In the Democratic runoff election, Sarah Gray is currently leading against Maria Barnes.

Tulsa County Commissioner, District 2 – GOP

On the Republican side, Lonnie Sims is ahead of Melissa Myers. The official result is still pending.

Tulsa City Council – District 1

Tulsa City Council – District 2

Tulsa City Council – District 3

Jackie Dutton wins against Susan Frederick with 53.8% of the vote.

Tulsa City Council – District 4

Tulsa City Council – District 5

Karen Gilbert wins against Alicia Andrews with 64% of the vote.

Tulsa City Council – District 6

Tulsa City Council – District 7

There is a runoff election between Lori Decter Wright and Eddie Huff because neither received 50% of the vote.

Tulsa City Council – District 8

Tulsa City Council – District 9

There was also a runoff election for Wagoner County Sheriff on Tuesday.

Wagoner County Sheriff – GOP

Chris Elliott won the office of Wagoner County Sheriff in a close race with 4,326 votes, while Tyler Cooper received 4,291 votes.

Pawnee County Sheriff – GOP

Sheriff Darrin Varnell lost his re-election bid to Shawn Price on Tuesday evening. Both received about 35 percent of the vote in June, so a runoff election was required.

Mayor of McAlester ✅

McAlester voters have elected Justin Few as the city’s new mayor. Candidate Randy Roden announced over a week ago that he was dropping out of the race for health reasons. Few received 51% of the vote. Kevin Beaty had 41.5%.
