UFC hopeful Marco Tulio attacks Mattheiu Duclos with a spinning body kick

UFC hopeful Marco Tulio attacks Mattheiu Duclos with a spinning body kick

Marco Tulio failed to finish in his first appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series and was not given a contract largely because of that.

The second time was different. Tulio (12-1) returned on Tuesday at Dana White’s Contender Series 69 and took down Mattheiu Dulcos (6-3) with a spinning back kick to the stomach followed by punches.

The middleweight fight was stopped after 2:38 minutes in round 2 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. You can watch the replay of the finish below (via X):

Tulio, 29, is a member of Chute Boxe and trains under coach Diego Lima. Between his DWCS appearances, he earned one more win, a knockout in the LFA. Nine of his 12 wins have come inside the distance.

The 29-year-old Frenchman Duclos has ended his four-fight winning streak. He is the training partner of lightweight contender Benoit Saint Denis.

The latest DWCS 69 results include:

  • Marco Tulio defeats Matthieu Duclos by TKO (spinning back kick to the body) – Round 2, 2:38
  • Malcolm Wellmaker defeats Adam Bramhald by KO (punch) – Round 1, 2:29
  • Nick Piccininni defeated Jack Duffy by split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)
