Parents found beaten to death in house with children inside – NBC4 Washington

Authorities in Frederick County, Maryland, identified a woman and a man found shot to death Sunday in a New Market home with four children inside. The double homicide investigation is ongoing.

The victims were Crimea Malita Baker of New Market and Sean Antoine Lange of Arlington, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday. Baker was 33 and Lange was 34.

“This was a heinous, targeted double murder – a crime of anger and rage,” said Sheriff Chuck Jenkins.

The victims were shot 42 times at close range, Jenkins said.

Around 7 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to a home in the 7000 block of Mandalong Court, north of I-70, where they found Baker and Lange dead in an upstairs bedroom.

According to initial investigations, they were shot at around 1:30 a.m.

Four children were found unharmed in the home, the sheriff’s office said. Baker was the mother of all four children and Lange was the father of one.

Investigators believe that Baker and Lange lived together and were victims of the murder. There is no evidence that the murder was random.

No information has been released regarding a possible suspect or motive. Anyone with potentially relevant information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
