Maximum premiere date for “Sweethearts” announced, first photos

Max announced today that Favoriteshis romantic comedy “New Line” with Kiernan Shipka (Twisters) and Nico Hiraga (Love in Taipei), will premiere on the streamer on November 28. A few first looks at the series were also revealed, which you can see above and below.

In the film, which marks the directorial debut of Jordan Weiss, the creator of the Hulu comedy, Doll faceTwo college freshmen decide to split up from their high school sweethearts over Thanksgiving break, leading them to a chaotic night in their hometown that tests their codependent friendship.

The film is from New Line Cinema and Picturestart and also stars Caleb Hearon (Jurassic World Domination), Tramell Tillman (Severance pay), Ava Demary (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), Charlie Hall (Single drunk woman), Joel Kim Booster (prey) and Christine Taylor (High Desert).

Weiss co-wrote the screenplay with Dan Brier. The film is produced by Erik Feig and Jessica Switch of Picturestart. Executive producers include Julia Hammer, Samie Kim Falvey and Shayne Fiske Goldner of Picturestart, as well as Weiss and Brier.
