Release date for Kiernan Shipka’s “Sweethearts Hard” announced

Kiernan Shipka was in two very different, very big movies this year, but there’s a good chance you missed her in both. Spoiler alert for the first 15 minutes of Twistersbut by the time you might have processed that the bubbly blonde weather enthusiast was Shipka, she was probably long gone. In Long-leggedThe actor played a character that is so far removed from Sally Draper And Sabrina – totally bewitched! that you may not have even recognized them.

There is no doubt Totally murderous Actors in HBO’s new first look photos for Favoriteshowever. Shipka plays the lead role in the Max original comedy alongside Nico Hiraga, who previously starred in Booksmart, Rosalineand finally Love in Taipei. They are joined by Caleb Hearon (Jurassic World Domination), Tramell Tillman (Severance pay), Ava Demary (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), Charlie Hall (The sex life of college girls), Joel Kim Booster (Fire Island) and Christine Taylor (Search party).

The logline for Favorites reads as follows: “Two college freshmen make a pact to break up with their high school sweethearts over Thanksgiving break, leading them to a chaotic night out in their hometown that tests their codependent friendship.” (The AV Club had an internal debate about whether a Thanksgiving breakup is called a “turkey chop,” a “turkey drop,” a “turkey dump,” or if there is no special name for it at all.
