Meeting of the Berlin Neighbourhood Watch planned for September 17th – everyone is invited

The Berlin Neighborhood Watch will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, September 17th, at 6 p.m. in the Berlin Community Center.

BERLIN, Alabama – The next Berlin Neighborhood Watch meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 17, at 6 p.m. at the Berlin Community Center, 3309 US Highway 278 E. Participants do not have to be members to attend the monthly meetings, which are held on the third Tuesday of each month.

Berlin Area Neighborhood Watch was founded by Edith Stevenson to foster community relations and in the hopes of building a safety net for every resident of the community.

“There have been some areas of our community that have been experiencing problems, as well as the drug epidemic in Cullman, Alabama. We hope that the Berlin Neighborhood Watch will curb the crime that is destroying our small, close-knit community,” a representative from the Berlin Neighborhood Watch said.

This month’s guest speaker is Lt. Amber Smith, Cullman County Sheriff’s Office Chief of Operations. She will discuss how the dispatch center handles calls from the public and what community members can expect when they call for help.

For more information or to become a member, contact Edith Stevenson at 256-709-3163 or visit Berlin City Hall.
