The City of Dublin began construction of the Northside Fire Station on Monday.

According to the city, the Northside Fire Station, which will be located at 1317 North Jefferson Street, will bring “invaluable benefits” to the community as its strategic location will ensure efficient response times.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by local dignitaries, including the mayor, fire chief and a staff member for Senator Jon Ossoff, as well as State Director Chandra Harris, Esq.

Fire Chief Matthew Cutler promised the community that he would continue to help them when they need help most.

“We vow to be good neighbors. Even though we test our sirens every morning, hopefully it will be music to your ears. We vow to be there for you in times of need,” Chief Cutler said in his speech during the ceremony.
