Star Rail announces release date and time of special program version 2.5

A Honkai: Star Trail Announcement revealed the exact release date and time of the upcoming Special Program Livestream event for version 2.5. Before each update arrives, Honkai: Star Trail is hosting a livestream event to reveal most of the upcoming content, including new characters, beams, and regions.

The livestream also includes promotional codes that players can use to get tons of free rewards, including Stellar Jade, which is mainly used to acquire new limited characters. Developer HoYoverse previously confirmed that the upcoming update 2.5 will introduce three new playable characters.

According to the announcement, the special program for Honkai: Star Trail Update 2.5 will be released on August 30th at 19:30 (UTC +8). This event, titled “Flying Aureus Shot to Lupine Rue,” will be broadcast on the game’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. It will finally introduce the long-awaited Feixiao and Lingsha as new five-star characters, as well as a four-star unit named Moze. All of these characters have already appeared in the game’s main storyline. For many fans, Feixiao is probably the most anticipated character of the three due to her importance in the official storyline.

Honkai: Star Trail has previously confirmed that Feixiao is the Merlink Claw of Xianzhou and one of the Seven Arbiter Generals, which means that she is probably one of the most skilled fighters in the Honkai Universe. Feixiao follows Honkai: Star Trail‘s hunting path, which could indicate that she will have strong single-target DPS potential. Her kit allows her to follow up on ally attacks, and it also includes action advance effects. Feixiao is expected to be a great choice for FUA teams in Honkai: Star Trail, and she should have great synergy with Robin, Topaz, Dr. Ratio and Lingsha

Lingsha is a character of abundance that fits into many different team compositions. Unlike Feixiao, who is meant to be the main DPS, Lingsha is better suited for Honkai: Star Trail‘s supportive role due to her ability to apply healing and remove debuffs from her teammates. She can also launch follow-up attacks with the help of her rabbit companion Fuyuan.

These kit leaks should still be treated with caution, and players will have to wait for the special program to get more official information about the two new Honkai: Star Trail Characters. As for the banner order, Feixiao is expected to appear in the first part of the update, while Lingsha should be part of the second banner cycle.
