Disturbing footage from an Orange County Sheriff’s deputy’s body camera shows Gerdvil charging toward the officer in the middle of the street with bloodstained clothing.

He is seen holding an unknown and suspicious object in his left hand while shouting at the armed officer.

Gerdvil is asked several times to lie on the ground before he is shot in the upper body at close range.

The first three bullets had little effect on the suspected murderer before a fourth pierced him and threw him to the ground.

You could see blood coming from his stomach and flowing onto the street.

Several other heavily armed officers then arrive at San Juan Mobile Estates to handcuff the suspected murderer.

The shocking arrest came just moments after police discovered the headless bodies of his two elderly parents, Ronald Gerdvil, 77, and Antoinette Gerdvil, 79, in their trailer nearby.

A mutilated dog was also found next to the couple.

Gerdvil, who is now accused of double murder, was intercepted after he allegedly attacked a maintenance worker just minutes after the gruesome beheadings.

Authorities skirmished with Gerdvil as he rode a golf cart on a bike path near Calle Arroyo and then fled on foot.

He also threw a heavy shovel at the police before they could open fire on him, police claim.

After being handcuffed and having his severe gunshot wounds treated, Gerdvil was heard speaking to the police officers.

He told them, “Just finish me off. Please hit me in the head. I beg you.”

Before muttering worriedly to himself, “I love you. I’m sorry you have to die.”

Then, strangely enough, he burst into song and began to say, “What does love have to do with it, what does that have to do with it?

“What is love but a second-hand feeling?”

The iconic lyrics of Tina Turner’s 1984 hit “What’s Love Got to Do with It”.

Gerdvil also sang Stevie Wonder’s 1984 song “I Just Called to Say I Love You” while police tried to stop his bleeding.

The Orange County Sheriff managed to transport Gerdvil was taken to a local hospital where he was stabilized shortly thereafter.

He has since been charged with manslaughter in connection with the deaths of both his parents.

Police are still investigating a possible motive for the brutal murders.

Neighbors The Gerdvil family says they saw father Ronald involved in a heated argument with his son the day before the tragic events.

David Desmond told Fox 11 that Joseph “looked angry” when he confronted his father on July 8 and “jumped in his face.”

Other neighbors said Joseph lived with his parents, who took care of him because of an alleged “drug problem.”
