Woman dies in shooting in Bordeaux

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WSMV) – A woman has died in a shooting in Nashville’s Bordeaux neighborhood, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Officers responded to the shooting around midnight Tuesday.

Police say a man and woman were shot as they returned to their home at the Overlook Ridge Apartments on Buena Vista Pike. The woman was shot at least twice and died at the hospital, according to police. The man was not injured.

Officials believe the couple were being followed by a vehicle. Police said as the man and woman got out of their car, several people in the other vehicle opened fire with at least two guns from the other end of the parking lot. Officials said more than 50 shots were fired.

Several apartments were hit when shots were fired. Bullet holes were visible at the crime scene.

The police have not yet released any information about possible suspects in this case.
