Police are searching for suspects after a woman was shot and injured in the North Hollywood Arts District.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Police are searching for suspects after a woman was shot and injured in the North Hollywood Arts District.

The shooting was reported shortly after 8 p.m. in the area of ​​11050 Magnolia Blvd. outside the Fat Dog restaurant. It was not clear if the victim had been inside the restaurant before the shooting. Other businesses nearby include a marijuana dispensary, a tattoo parlor and a theater.

Police said a woman suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and at least two men were seen running from the scene. A white BMW was also spotted fleeing the area.

It does not appear that the shooting occurred from a passing car.

Several evidence markers were visible on the sidewalk near the crime scene, possibly indicating multiple shell casings.

Details about a possible motive and the circumstances leading to the shooting were not immediately available.
