Shooting in Andersonville today: Man shot during argument at Primo Pizza at 5600 North Clark Street, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) — According to Chicago police, a man was shot at a North Side restaurant on Monday night.

The shooting occurred shortly after 9 p.m. at Primo Pizza in the Andersonville neighborhood in the 5600 block of North Clark Street.

According to police, a 22-year-old man was in the restaurant when several people identified only as male began arguing with him.

Someone in the group pulled out a gun and shot the man, hitting him several times before fleeing the scene on foot, police said.

The victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital with a gunshot wound to the thigh, where his condition is stable.

No one is in custody and detectives from Area Three are investigating.

Police did not initially provide any further information about the shooting.
