Woman hospitalized after drive-by shooting outside North Hollywood Arts District

Paramedics took a woman to the hospital Monday night after a drive-by shooting in the heart of the North Hollywood Arts District.

It happened around 8 p.m. when two gunmen opened fire near The Fat Dog restaurant on Magnolia Boulevard. According to Los Angeles police, they were believed to be in a BMW and drove toward Vineland Avenue after the shooting.

The shots hit a woman. She was conscious and breathing when police called for an ambulance. Officers closed off a section of Magnolia Boulevard for the investigation.
