Crews called out to combat large grass fire in Love County

LOVE COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) – Love County fire crews responded to a large grass fire Monday evening.

Love County Sheriff Andy Cumberledge reported that all available fire departments were called out to the fire on Cotton Boulevard near Stockton Road.

He stated that the fire was spreading quickly, and it has already caught power lines on fire.

Fire crews are working to try and keep the fire from spreading to structures and RVs that are in the path of the blaze.

Sheriff Cumberledge asked anyone in the area to prepare for the worst case scenario and gather up animals if they can.
