2024 Tour Championship tee times and pairings: Full TV schedule, groups for Round 1 at East Lake

The 2024 Tour Championship begins Thursday at East Lake Golf Club, with the top 30 players from the PGA Tour season battling for the FedEx Cup crown. Many of these big names will face off in the first round, as tee times are based on the staggered start on the leaderboard.

For the third year in a row, Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele will compete side-by-side in the first round. The top two players in the world, ranked first and second in the FedEx Cup standings, will battle it out for the season’s title over four days this week. They are the last of 15 tee times, beginning at 2 p.m. ET.

The Americans follow the two previous playoff winners: Keegan Bradley (BMW Championship) and Hideki Matsuyama (FedEx St. Jude Championship). Ahead of them, two European Ryder Cup teammates, Ludvig Åberg and Rory McIlroy, share a place on the tee list. McIlroy is aiming for his fourth FedEx Cup trophy and starts at 4 strokes under par, while Åberg is making his Tour Championship debut and is one stroke closer to the lead.

There are also many good pairings in the early stages of the first round. Billy Horschel will face Tommy Fleetwood at 12:00, followed by the left-handed duo Akshay Bhatia and Robert MacIntyre at 12:16. Reigning FedEx Cup champion Viktor Hovland will need a strong week to successfully defend his title and starts at 12:27 with Russell Henley.
