Video editing made easy: Google Photos gets AI presets

Google is introducing new features in the video editing of the Google Photos app to make editing videos easier for Android and iOS users. According to Google, the improvements should give users faster and more direct access to the most important editing tools.

New features include an updated cropping tool that offers more precise controls to easily trim the parts of a video you want. There’s also a new Auto Enhancement button that can optimize color and stability in videos with a simple tap.

Also new is a speed tool that will allow you to adjust the playback speed of the video – be it for dramatic slow motion or fast action scenes.

Google Photos: AI-powered video presets

Additionally, new AI-powered video presets are being introduced on Android and iOS that automatically handle certain edits. For example, these presets can crop videos, adjust lighting, control speed, or add effects like dynamic motion tracking or slow motion – all with just a few clicks.

According to the Google blog post, the new video editor features are rolling out now. However, it can usually take some time before the new features are available to all users.
