Farewell to Nadal in Malaga? Alcaraz doesn’t want to think about it

Carlos Alcaraz hopes that the final round of the Davis Cup in Malaga will not be Rafael Nadal’s farewell stage. “I don’t want to think that it is a possible last dance for him in Malaga,” said the four-time major winner Alcaraz at the China Open in Beijing: “Hopefully it won’t be the last time for him.”

Both top stars were called up to the host team for the knockout round in Andalusia from November 19 to 24. The Iberians’ opponents in the quarter-finals are the Netherlands. In the semi-finals, they could face the German team if the team headed by national coach Michael Kohlmann also wins against Canada.

Alcaraz also played doubles with 22-time Grand Slam winner Nadal at the Olympic Games in Paris, but missed out on a medal. Nadal hardly appears in sports anymore due to his physical problems, but has not yet decided when he will end his career.
