How to watch the vice presidential debate in Minnesota.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Ohio Senator JD Vance will face off in the first and only vice presidential debate on Tuesday, October 1. A vice presidential debate has been a tradition in every presidential campaign since 1984.

Here’s what you need to know about the debate and how to watch it in Minnesota:

The 90-minute debate begins at 8 p.m. CDT and will be moderated by CBS on WCCO-TV in the Twin Cities area. It will be simulcast by PBS, KSTP, KARE, Fox 9 and cable channels including CNN and Fox News.

The debate will also be streamed on Paramount+, Hulu and for free on CBS News 24/7 and the CBS News YouTube channel.

Most channels broadcast an hour before the debate, followed by reactions and comments.

CBS News 24/7 is streaming the debate for free and it can also be found on Hulu and Paramount+.

CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell and Face the Nation moderator Margaret Brennan will moderate the debate in New York City.
