The September edition of “State of Play” will take place on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday. A show lasting over 30 minutes is promised, in which Sony will present us with more than 20 games. The official livestream gives you the opportunity to follow the new “State of Play” live.

Yesterday, Monday, Sony put an end to the rumors of the last few weeks and announced the September issue of the “State of affairs”-Formats officially.

As the PlayStation makers have announced, we can look forward to a show lasting more than 30 minutes. Sony also talks about updates to already known titles as well as new announcements. All in all, more than 20 titles are waiting to be presented.

Which games are presented?

In the run-up to a “State of Play,” Sony traditionally holds back for reasons of suspense and does not go into detail about the games to be expected. Leaks and information from insiders are also rather sparse this time.

Recently, only Notes on two remasters that Sony could announce in the upcoming “State of Play”.



On the one hand, we received information about a new edition of Guerrilla Games’ action role-playing game “Horizon: Zero Dawn”. This was originally released in 2017 for the PS4. A port to the PC followed in 2020. Further rumors say that Sony Bend’s open-world title “Days Gone” From 2019 is making a comeback in the form of a technically polished remaster.

According to unconfirmed reports, we can expect a release for both remasters on PC and PS5.

More news and impressions about the PS5 Pro?

In addition to the more than 20 games, the September issue of the “State of Play” could also include the PS5Pro make an appearance. As several sources suggest, Sony could use the event to show us new gameplay from titles optimized for the PS5 Pro.

The possible remasters of “Horizon: Zero Dawn” and “Days Gone” are certainly a good example here, with which Sony is demonstrating the technical possibilities of the mid-gen upgrade.
