Zoom introduces the H2essential Multi-Mic Handy Recorder

Zoom has introduced the new H2essential Multi-Mic – a handy audio recorder with three built-in microphones and the ability to record clip-free 32-bit float audio at up to 96 KHz in nine different modes including mono, stereo 90 degrees, stereo 120 degrees or 360 degree surround. This versatile recorder is equally suitable for recording music, interviews, podcasts, conferences or even ambient streaming.

Its 1.3″ color display shows information about the recording, such as duration, waveforms of all tracks as well as the menus and settings; it is operated via buttons. When recording in MS-Raw format, the stereo width can be adjusted later in post-production. The H2essential has a 3.5 mm stereo input for connecting line-in sources or lavalier microphones, an integrated mixer, a headphone output and a built-in speaker. It records on Micro SDHC/SDXH memory cards up to 1 TB in size.
