For Thug Life, Kamal Haasan reunited with Mani Ratnam three decades after their last film.

Kamal Haasan has completed the shooting of his upcoming film Thug Life. The makers confirmed the news on Tuesday. Reuniting with director Mani Ratnam after 35 years, Haasan and the cast began shooting in January this year at different locations. The project has been in the pipeline for quite some time, so fans are waiting for the actor and director to reunite. In a BTS video from the entire shooting schedule of the film, the makers of Thug Life gave a glimpse of several key moments, including panoramic views and far-flung locations.

The video also features a small celebration to mark the completion of the shoot. Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR and director Mani Ratnam came together for a photo. In one of the images, the Indian 2 actor can also be seen congratulating his director on the completion of the shooting schedule. “Shooting wrapped #Thuglife moves to the next phase #Ulaganayagan #KamalHaasan #SilambarasanTR,” read the caption.

The video comes days after the film wrapped up the shoot. Also, a picture of Haasan, Mani Ratnam and Silambarasan TR from the wrap party has surfaced, showing them happy after months of hard work.

Previously, Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan worked together in 1987’s Nayakan, only to team up again for Thug Life. Haasan is set to play multiple roles in the upcoming historical gangster drama. The film’s cast also includes actors like Silambarasan, Trisha, Joju George, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautham Karthik, Abhirami Gopikumar and others. While Ravi K Chandran is handling the cinematography, AR Rahman is handling the music.
