Massive fire destroys clubhouse at Juday Creek Golf Course

Massive fire destroys clubhouse at Juday Creek Golf Course

A devastating fire has destroyed the clubhouse of the Juday Creek Golf Course.

Firefighters from various departments in Indiana and Michigan worked to extinguish the flames

Emergency services were on site all day.

The fire is under control, but a fire truck can still be seen spraying water on the clubhouse structure. This is because there are many fire sources in the building.

The smell of smoke filled the surrounding neighborhood since the first call came in just before 6

The fire started at one end of the building and spread to the entire clubhouse within about 10 minutes.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and asked the surrounding fire departments for mutual assistance, but the fire engulfed the entire building.

A trip to the golf course was planned for that morning and the golf carts were lined up near the building.

Fortunately, the firefighters were able to save about 95% of the cars.

The Clay Fire Territory chief says the community lost more than just a building in the fire.

“Yes, this building is, you know, an important place in our community. Of course, this golf course is crowded especially on a day like today. On a beautiful morning, a lot of people come and tee off, and Judy Creek Golf Course is a great partner for the fire department. In particular, we’ve held a lot of our banquets here. I know a lot of other people in the community have held weddings, receptions and gatherings for their communities and their families,” said Jaren Kilian, fire chief of the Clay Fire Territory.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated.
