Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2024 Round 1 Cancelled, New Dates Announced: Check Revised Schedule Here

Bihar NEET UG Consultation 2024 Round 1 cancelled: The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has cancelled the Bihar NEET UG Round 1 counselling Seat allocation and has released a revised schedule for admissions to MBBS and BDS under 85% state quota. As per the new schedule, the seat allocation result for Bihar NEET UG Round 1 will be released on September 27 on the official website bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.
This decision follows a recent Supreme Court verdict on a petition filed by Vichar Manch, Patna, to remove the ‘Tanti-Tantwa’ caste from the list of Scheduled Castes (SC) and merge it with the ‘Pan/Sawasi’ caste in the Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) category. Candidates who have been allotted seats through the revised allotment round 1 but who do not report to their allotted college or complete the document verification will automatically be considered for free exit, making their previous decisions null and void. Even those who have opted for upgrading will have to Advice Edit and submit new selections for Round 2.
In accordance with the Supreme Court ruling, candidates from Tanti-Tantwa caste who had chosen SC category in their application were given the opportunity to change their category to EBC. A total of 30 candidates made such changes. Consequently, the seat allocation result announced on August 21 was withdrawn and a revised allocation will be published. The updated Bihar UGMA 2024 The rank list will be available on the admission portal where candidates can check the allotment by entering their UGMAC ID and date of birth.
