Now it’s official: Striker Jadon Sancho will now wear the Chelsea FC jersey. Manchester United announced that the 24-year-old will be loaned to the Premier League rival from London for one season. The England international sealed his move late on Friday evening, but the announcement was only made on Saturday evening.

Sancho returned to United earlier this summer after spending half a season on loan at his former club Borussia Dortmund. “We wish Jadon the best of luck for the coming season,” United said.

Sancho and United coach Erik ten Hag had a falling out at the start of the preseason. After the coach criticized the dribbling artist’s attitude to training, Sancho accused him of lying on social media. He was then suspended. (dpa)
