In “Boston Firefighters: Saved by the Enemy (Boston Firefighters (A Fire&Ice Spin-off) 1)”, Aubrey’s current life is not looking good. Boston was supposed to be a new beginning for the young woman. But she seems miles away from that.
When Aubrey is left homeless by a fire in her apartment building, one of the firefighters offers her a place to stay in his shared apartment for a short time. Since there is no alternative for Aubrey, she gratefully accepts the offer. Without knowing that the firefighter who rescued her, Zane, turned out to be the uncouth guy she met on her morning jog, also calls the shared apartment his home.
Zane is anything but thrilled that his friend and colleague have given the young woman a temporary place in their shared apartment. Aubrey has been on his mind ever since they first met, and that is something Zane can’t handle.
What neither Aubrey nor Zane expected was that they would both feel attracted to each other and soon would no longer be able to resist their feelings.
But can grumpy firefighter Zane and normally sunshine-filled Aubrey even have a chance under these circumstances?
We also meet beloved protagonists from the Fire&Ice series again, such as Sandro, Chris and many more.
The story captivated me from the beginning, and it remains exciting and varied. You can share in the excitement of Aubrey and Zane and experience a wide range of emotions. There are many things to smile at and laugh at, as well as some compassionate, tragic and explosive moments and the odd tear or two to shed.
I could hardly put the book down because I wanted to find out if and how there was a happy ending for both of them.
I recommend reading/buying this book and give it 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ stars.«

Zane is in a good mood because the 24-hour shift is about to start again – yes, it’s hard, but he needs it.

Suddenly something soft hits him and a woman hisses at him, asking if he can’t pay attention.

OK, Aubrey is small, but that still means he can pay attention.

Aubry’s day can’t get any worse – totally broke and without a job it’s tough.

The alarm goes off at the fire station and Zane and his colleagues are dispatched to the scene of a house fire and Zane then has to rescue a woman.

Aubry looks at Zane and is not happy – his colleague sees that she is not feeling well and offers her a room in their shared apartment.

“From here on it gets really good and yes I suffered with Aubrey”
