Schmölzer Festival: Convincing victory for SV Lannach against UFC Söding – Football Styria – Results, tables and scorers from all STMK leagues.

In the sixth round of the West Lower League, SV Lannach clearly beat UFC Söding and celebrated a clear 6:1 away victory. Lannach set the course for victory early in the game and gave the opponent no chance. Despite a consolation goal for Söding, Lannach prevailed throughout the entire game.

Early lead and dominance from SV Lannach

Right at the beginning of the game, SV Lannach showed its ambitions and took the lead early on. Already in the 10th minute Alexander Christoph 1:0 for the guests. UFC Söding then visibly tried to get into the game, but the guests from Lannach remained in control of the game.

In the 22nd minute Michael Pressl The visitors’ lead was further extended. With his goal to make it 2-0, Lannach underlined his superiority and presented the hosts with a big challenge. Söding was barely able to make an impact in this phase of the game and was mostly called upon to play defensively.

Set shortly before half-time Daniel Schmölzer another sign and increased the score to 3:0 for SV Lannach in the 45th minute. With this clear half-time score, the teams went into the dressing rooms, and UFC Söding faced an almost impossible task in the second half of the game.

No chance for Söding in the second half

Even after the break, little changed in the course of the game. Lannach continued to dominate the action and gave Söding little room to develop. In the 52nd minute, the score was again Daniel Schmölzer and increased the score to 4:0. Söding’s defense found no way to counter the visitors’ attacks.

It was not until the 61st minute that UFC Söding managed to score a consolation goal. Dominik Kollmann scored to make it 1:4 and gave the home fans a brief moment of relief. But the hope of a comeback only lasted a short time.

Only four minutes later, in the 65th minute, Daniel Schmölzer with his third goal of the game he restored the old gap and increased it to 5:1. SV Lannach continued to show an impressive performance and gave the opponent no chance.

In the final minute Michael Pressl with his second goal to make it 6-1, the final point in a one-sided game.

With this clear victory, SV Lannach consolidated its position in the West Lower League and sent a clear signal to the competition. UFC Söding, on the other hand, will have to recover quickly and learn from this defeat in order to be more successful in the coming games.

“We were the better team over 90 minutes and could have scored more goals. It’s not that easy in Söding, but we coped well. Now we’re looking forward to the home game against Hengsberg. We want to establish ourselves in the first third and end Hengsberg’s series!”
