(BPM) State Champs have released a new music video for their song “Too Late To Say”. This song showcases a refreshing new sound from the group and brings out their vulnerable side. Although it sounds youthful and polished, it is a deeper song that lyrically deals with anxiety and the fear of losing yourself. The music video embodies these feelings as the band is seen performing on the back of a speeding truck – a metaphor for moving through life too fast.

This release comes shortly after the band announced their fifth studio album and self-titled album, State Champs, due out on November 8th via Pure Noise Records. Last week, “Too Late To Say” was released as a single on all streaming platforms alongside “Silver Cloud.” The music video for the song sees singer Derek DiScanio breaking the cycle of a mundane, unfulfilling life with a cast of characters played by the rest of the band.

Comprising 12 tracks, the songs on this record are bursting with passion and cleverly constructed precision. While the production is big, bold and slick, it still sounds like a band in a room or a band decimating the stage. It’s a perfect example of how the band has become a major player in the pop punk scene, pushing the genre forward over the last decade.

Nearly 15 years after the band’s formation, lead singer Derek DiScanio, bassist Ryan Scott Graham, guitarist Tyler Szalkowski and drummer Evan Ambrosio were at different points in their personal lives – marriage, children and cross-country moves created a new kind of relationship dynamic. Produced by Anton DeLost (Mayday Parade, Hawthorne Heights), State Champs presents some of the best, edgiest and most energetic tracks that have defined their career to date, making it just the right time for the debut of their eponymous album.

The band will also tour North America this fall. Supporting them on this tour will be Knuckle Puck, Meet Me at The Altar and Daisy Grenade. They will travel coast to coast, beginning November 8th in Austin, Texas, and visiting major cities including Phoenix, Anaheim, Salt Lake City, Denver, Cleveland, Nashville, Orlando, Boston, Philadelphia and Toronto. The tour will conclude on December 7th in New York City.

State Champs began in bedrooms and basements in 2010 and quickly rose to become leaders of a new scene that owes a debt to early Fall Out Boy and Green Day as well as later Warped Tour bands. They have become one of the most recognizable names in pop punk over the past decade and have helped define the genre for a new generation of fans. They are experts at building authentic connections with audiences through intelligent and engaging songwriting and passionate performances.

Throughout their career, State Champs have received accolades from Rolling Stone, MTV, Kerrang!, Upset, Alternative Press, and Rock Sound, among others. Their second album, Around the World and Back, debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Current Rock Albums chart and made the top 10 Rock Sound albums of the year. Living Proof followed in 2018, and that same year Billboard called them “modern pop-punk torchbearers.” The band has also collaborated with some of pop-punk’s heaviest minds, co-writing songs with All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth and Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus for their latest album, Kings of the New Age.

At the State Champs they established themselves as a team that can and will stand the test of time.
