UGC NET Result 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the results of the UGC NET June 2024 exam soon. The final answer key for the UGC NET exam will be released either simultaneously or after the results are declared. The provisional answer key has been released in a phased manner and the extended appeal period ended on September 14. The results are expected to be announced soon after. Candidates who appeared in the exam can check their results on the official UGC NET website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The UGC NET exam is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and comprises two objective-based examination papers with multiple-choice questions. It assesses the eligibility of the candidates for the positions of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges.

After releasing the provisional answer key, the agency asked candidates to submit any objections by paying ₹200 per question. NTA stated that subject matter experts would examine the objections submitted and in case any objection is found to be valid, the final answer key would be updated accordingly.

The exam covers 83 subjects including Hindi, English, Kannada, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Arabic, Linguistics, Nepali, Marathi, Telugu, Urdu, Chinese, Dogri, Manipuri, Assamese, Gujarati, Persian, French, Spanish, Russian, Rajasthani, Labour Welfare, Library and Information Science and Mass Communication and Journalism. There are no demerit points in the UGC NET exam and candidates are awarded two marks (+2) for each correct answer.
