Over 430 first-semester students begin their studies at Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences.

More than 430 first-year students celebrated the start of their studies on Monday in the Concert Church in Neubrandenburg. There is a clear favorite among the courses at Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences: the Bachelor’s degree program in Social Work has the most enrollments. There are more than 100 new students here. The other courses are a mixed bag, says Ina Müller-Thüring from the Department of Studies and Examinations at Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences. In second and third place are the agricultural economics and health sciences courses, each with 30 new students. Most first-year students – almost three quarters – come from our state. A larger proportion also come from Brandenburg, Schleswig Holstein and Berlin. There are also students with foreign citizenship. Almost 20 of them are studying in Neubrandenburg. In total, more than 1800 people are currently studying at Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences. The numbers are currently declining, says Müller-Thüring.
