IIM Sambalpur introduces AI in classroom, announcement at 10th foundation day celebrations | Education

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur will introduce artificial intelligence in classrooms to transform the way students learn and acquire knowledge. This announcement was made on the institute’s 10th foundation day on Monday, September 23, 2024.

IIM Sambalpur celebrated its 10th Foundation Day on 23 September 2024.

Speaking at the event, Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director, IIM Sambalpur, said that the use of AI in classrooms will enable a transformative learning experience. Prof. Jaiswal also spoke about plans to organize a Women’s Empowerment Summit in February to advance the goals of Viksit Bharat.

He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and others who contributed to the construction of the institute.

Uday A. Kaole, Chairman and Managing Director, MCL, who graced the event as the Guest of Honour, congratulated IIM Sambalpur on its achievements and praised Prof. Jaiswal for his successful leadership.

Other keynote speakers at the event included Dr. Anurag Batra, the guest of honour, Nishita Baliarsingh, co-founder and CEO of Nexus Power, and Anindya Ghosh, associate partner at IBM.

Opening of the second edition of the IDE Bootcamp, Phase I

Coinciding with the founding celebrations, the second edition of Phase 1 of the Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp has been launched. The initiative, which is scheduled to run till September 27, 2024, is led by the Ministry of Education, AICTE and the Innovation Cell (MIC) of the Ministry of Education.

The aim is to promote innovation, design and entrepreneurial skills among innovative students across India, a press release said.

The press release further states that the bootcamp took place simultaneously at nine prestigious institutions across the country and was attended by over 3,000 innovative students and innovation ambassadors from colleges across the country.

The Bootcamp Exhibition

The event featured an innovators and startups exhibition where over 70 startups from across the country showcased their unique products ranging from technology products to agricultural products, healthcare products, etc.
