After family brawl in outdoor pool in Chemnitz: Police search for possible video recordings

Chemnitz- Violent brawl in an outdoor swimming pool in Chemnitz! It all started with a fight between two women. Now hopes to die police on image recordings.

As the police announced on Monday, the fight took place on July 14th in the Gablenz outdoor swimming pool. On that summer day, two women got into an argument at around 1:35 p.m.

The situation quickly escalated! Two relatives (37, 38) of one woman were attacked by family members of the other woman and a third person.

“The group is said to have hit and kicked the two victims, as a result of which the 37- and 38-year-olds sustained minor injuries,” police said.

The police were quickly called and two suspected attackers were caught on the spot.

The officers then investigate the two Slovaks on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

But the police are still faced with a mystery: Who were the remains? Why did the fight happen in the first place?

The officers are therefore urgently looking for witnesses. Who was at the Gablenz outdoor pool on July 14 and saw the altercation? Who may have even taken videos or photos of the fight? The Chemnitz-Nordost police station is accepting information on 0371/387102.

There were repeated fights in outdoor pools in 2024. The number of cases increased particularly in Berlin. CDU General Secretary Carsten Linnemann (47) criticized the lengthy proceedings against the perpetrators. “Anyone who attacks people in an outdoor pool at lunchtime must sit before a judge in the evening and be sentenced,” he told “Bild am Sonntag”.
