19-year-old severely abused on camera

A young man was brutally abused on Usedom. The police are issuing a strong warning against the distribution of photos and videos of the attack.

A 19-year-old was the victim of severe abuse on the Baltic Sea island of Usedom. Police reported that several men lured the young man to a meeting point in Zinnowitz on Saturday under false pretenses.

There, three suspects are said to have physically abused him for several hours and destroyed his personal belongings.

The attackers filmed the crime and shared photos on social networks. The police expressly warn against sharing these images and videos in order to protect the rights of the victim. In addition, in case of doubt, sharing the recordings could be a criminal offense.
