Elena Rybakina will miss the entire Asian Swing due to ongoing back problems. At the US Open, Rybakina withdrew from the tournament after a promising first-round performance and did not compete in the second round.

“Unfortunately, due to my ongoing back injury, I have to withdraw from the upcoming tournaments in Asia,” Rybakina said in a statement.

She continued: “Although I have worked hard on my recovery, my medical team and I have decided that my health is the priority at this time. It has been a challenging year and I am grateful for the support of the tournament organizers and my fans. My team and I will do everything we can to ensure that I can return to the court before the season finale.”

The 2022 Wimbledon champion also recently announced her separation from coach Stefano Vukov.

Despite these setbacks, the 25-year-old can look back on a remarkable season record of 41 wins and only 9 losses. Rybakina has won three titles this year and reached two more finals.
