Six participants are eliminated before the show starts

Cologne – On the occasion of the 20th season of “Farmer seeks wife” had RTL presented 20 love-hungry farmers. The Cologne broadcaster has now removed almost a third of them from production!

I’m 23. On September 30th, the popular dating show with presenter Inka Bause (55) will start its anniversary edition. Compared to the show that was shown in the spring, however, six farmers will be missing. What happened?

Dairy farmer Franz (25) from Bavaria had already voluntarily given up at the beginning of July. He announced on social media that he wanted to look for true love away from the TV cameras. Apparently he had already found her long ago by that point.

The same applies to Chiara Maria. The 24-year-old horse trainer from North Rhine-Westphalia announced her retirement just a few days ago, causing a shock to the entire “BsF” team shortly before filming began, as she was considered the star of the new season.

“There were rumors that Chiara had changed her mind shortly before the show – perhaps she had already met someone privately,” an insider close to the production told “Prisma.”

RTL made the following statement in a brief statement: “We regret Chiara’s decision to cancel her participation in the upcoming season, but of course we respect her personal reasons.”

If you look at the candidates who are currently presented on the show’s official Instagram channel, you will notice that in addition to the two dropouts, four other faces from the original cast are missing.

Dairy farmer Hubert (28), organic arable farmer Simon (30), wild animal farmer Michael (46) and organic pig farmer Elko (43) will also not be seen on TV during the anniversary edition.

It is nothing new that singles that have already been released have fallen victim to the red pen. Station spokeswoman Leyla Karsak spoke to “OKmag.de” about the drastic bloodletting. She says: “The reasons are varied and can be of a production-related or personal nature.”

It is therefore entirely possible that applicants turn down the farmers or, as in the first two cases mentioned, that they have already found true love away from the cameras.

The official TV launch of the 20th season is on Monday, September 30th, from 8:15 p.m. on RTL. However, the episodes will be available a week earlier on the streaming service RTL+ available.
