Traffic stop in Fairfield leads to four arrests

FAIRFIELD, Maine (WABI) – According to Maine State Police, a traffic stop on Route 201 in Fairfield resulted in four arrests.

During a traffic stop for broken taillights late Saturday evening, Maine State Trooper Lambert recognized both the driver, Daniel Pallis, a 35-year-old from Dresden, and the passenger, Maria Jackson, a 30-year-old from Richmond.

Lambert recognized the two as individuals who had been involved in a fight with another Maine State Police officer in Augusta in early August when the officer attempted to arrest Jackson as part of a drug investigation.

Lambert then arrested Pallis on charges of aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs and two counts of breaching conditions of release. Jackson was charged with aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs and had a warrant out for his arrest for resisting arrest or detention and breaching conditions of release.

Two other passengers were also arrested.

Paul Duplin, a 35-year-old from Whitefield, was arrested for aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs, breach of conditions of release and unlawful possession of Schedule W drugs.

David Levasseur, a 38-year-old from Lisbon, was arrested for aggravated trafficking in category W drugs and trafficking in prison contraband.
