Samsung Galaxy S24 FE price leaked in US

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE price leaked in US

In brief

  • A new leak reveals what the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE could cost in the US.
  • According to the leak, the starting price for the 128GB model could be $649, and that for the 256GB model could be $709.
  • That’s $50 more than last year, when the Galaxy S23 FE launched for $599.

We still don’t have a confirmed release date for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. However, we have seen leaked renders of the device (see above) and plenty of leaked specs. We’ve also seen leaked pricing information for Europe. Today, we’ve leaked pricing for the United States – and it’s not good news.

According to reliable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (via SmartPrix), the 128GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE could be priced at $649, $50 more than the Galaxy S23 FE, which launched last year in the same configuration for $599. Meanwhile, Hemmerstoffer says the 256GB model could cost $709, another $50 more than the previous model.

These leaked prices are confirmed by the previously mentioned leaks for European prices. These prices also showed an increase of €50, suggesting that this could be a general worldwide increase.

If things continue like this, we will ultimately be disappointed. The price of the Samsung Galaxy S24 has not increased – it is still $799. A price increase for the FE model makes it a less compelling product, as it will then be a little easier to upgrade to the main Galaxy S24 model, which will invariably be a better product.

The Galaxy A55’s failure to launch in the US only exacerbates this problem. Since there will be no Galaxy A55 and only a more expensive FE model, Samsung fans who want to get as much phone as possible for a mid-range price will have to spend more than ever. The only alternative will be to buy older models, like the Galaxy S23 FE (or even the main Galaxy S23 model itself).

Rumors suggest that Samsung could officially unveil the Galaxy S24 FE soon, possibly as early as next week. We won’t have to wait long to find out if these price increases are justified or not.
