With the British Open, elite-level snooker returns to free-to-air television in the UK and the best players in the world meet in Cheltenham.

Reigning champion Mark Williams is determined to make the most of his title defence after a decent start to the 2024/25 calendar.

The Welsh star reached the final of the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters, but was stopped by a black ball from Judd Trump.

Trump will also be in action this week, along with Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby, Kyren Wilson and others.

After the English Open, the season is slowly getting into full swing and in the autumn months numerous exciting tournaments will shake up the rankings.

The 2024 British Open will begin on Monday, 23 September 2024 and runs until Sunday, September 29, 2024.

Games start on 1pm UK time and continues throughout the afternoon until the evening session, starting at 7pm.

Coverage of the British Open will be shown comprehensively in ITV platforms.

The action will be shown daily from 1pm to 7pm on ITV.
