Double cheers for the Dresden Monarchs: semi-finals at Heinz-Field!

The Dresden Monarchs mastered the quarter-finals with ease. Afterwards, there was more cheering.

Dresden- There was also plenty of cheering after the playoff quarter-finals. After the 35:6 (7:0, 7:0, 7:6, 24:0) victory against the Straubing Spiders, it was clear: The Dresden Monarchs also have a home game in the semi-finals.

5193 fans came to the Heinz Steyer Stadium and they saw two different halves, at least as far as the quarterbacks were concerned.

Brock Domann led the Royals’ offense in the first 24 minutes, scoring one touchdown per quarter with his men.

He ran the first one himself (11th), and the second one was also scored by running back Nico Barrow (23rd).

Logan Mobelini (18th) with the interception, which he narrowly missed just five minutes later, Lucas Masero (5th), Devonni Reed (14th) and Lamonte McDougle (24th) with the sacks at the right time.

After the tea break, the picture changed briefly. Karé Lyles was able to prove himself in the second half, but he made an interception (27′). Gerald Raab caught the missed ball.

The Spiders also scored through Devion Young (33′). But immediately after that, everything went back to normal.

After the victory, all Monarchs looked at the monitors

Lucas Masero prevented the two-point conversion and Lyles scored the next points with his offense.

Ricky Smalling (35th) and Nico Barrow (46th) were found in the end zone by the quarterback. Barrow (40th) also ran for his third touchdown of the day.

After the entry into the semi-finals was duly celebrated, anxious eyes turned to Schwäbisch Hall. And because the Hildesheim Invaders won their quarter-final there with 31:28, there was great celebration once again.

At the end of the main round, the Lower Saxons were ranked worse than the Monarchs in the northern group, which is why they have to travel to the state capital.
