The trial of the century against ManCity

The responsible investigative team has compiled a total of 115 charges against City over the past five years. The club has been facing trial since Monday. It will probably take two months for all hearings to be completed. The club faces severe consequences.

It all started in November 2018 with several articles in the “Spiegel” in which ManCity was accused of violating Financial Fair Play on a large scale. As part of the so-called Football Leaks scandal, the German print magazine published internal and secret information about City that had previously been passed on to them by the Portuguese whistleblower Rui Pinto.
