Michelle Obama praised Harris, saying she is “one of the most qualified people ever” to run for president. She also criticised Trump for his use of the phrase “black jobs”. Harris did not appear at the convention venue in Chicago but held a rally with Walz in Milwaukee. But in a clever move, the convention’s big screen showed the opening moments of the event, and the vice president greeted crowds in both cities. Stephanie Grisham, a former White House press secretary under Trump, said at the convention that her former boss had “no compassion, no morals and no loyalty to the truth.”
