Düsseldorf/Duisburg, September 21, 2024 – “Back in the final”! In a not quite perfect season, with a defeat against the Madrid Bavos in Oberhausen, Rhein Fire has the chance to defend its title on Sunday, kick-off at 3:30 p.m., in the arena in Gelsenkirchen.

With the “Vienna Vikings”, Fire will face the best team of the last three years. Champion in 2022, semi-finalist in 2023 and 2024, they will be in the final again. And that after a “perfect season” without defeat.

Rhein Fire head coach Jim Tomsula on the opponents: “This is a great organization all around. The excellently staffed and well-coached ELF team, the second team in the Austrian league, the youth teams, the cheerleaders – a great franchise in all aspects. And if…” “We have won so many games and won, no matter who we are playing against, we are a very good team, period. They have at least the class of Stuttgart.”

Quarterback Jadrian Clark is counting on the Fire fans and a majority of the 38,000 spectators: “It was an indescribable feeling last year, there is nothing better.”
